PAM Flocculant Purchase Specification: What to Put in an RFQ

Write a useful PAM flocculant RFQ with application, approved identity, test basis, documentation, packaging and delivery requirements instead of generic specifications.

Selection depends on representative feed, controlled preparation and equipment evidence.

A useful PAM flocculant purchasing specification distinguishes the required treatment duty from supplier product data. Copying an unfamiliar molecular-weight range into a tender does not guarantee performance. Define what must be supplied, how a candidate is approved and which receiving checks protect the agreed identity.

State application and acceptance separately

Describe the feed, upstream treatment, separator and operating range. Then identify the measurable result that governs application approval: water quality, capture, cake condition or another relevant endpoint. Avoid requiring a universal dose when feed changes materially. State the dose basis and the procedure for comparison. The sample-testing checklist provides the evidence needed to turn a broad enquiry into a focused candidate evaluation.

Request interpretable product data

Ask for product identity, ionic family, form and technical information appropriate to the duty. Where numerical values are compared, request the measurement method and conditions. TDS characteristics are not automatically batch-release limits, and an SDS addresses safety rather than treatment performance. The PAM specifications guide explains why the same-looking viscosity or molecular descriptor may not be directly comparable between documents.

Make substitution and delivery requirements explicit

Identify the approved grade or the required candidate-approval process. Require agreement before changes to product identity, form or packaging that affect operation. Include bag or bulk-container preference, package markings, lot traceability, destination and requested shipment timing. Confirm the commercial terms with the supplier rather than assuming that “bulk price” includes freight or unloading. If demand is uncertain, separate forecast estimates from firm order quantities.

Choose receiving checks proportionate to risk

Agree which documents accompany the shipment and which observations or tests are completed before release. Retain an approved reference where application sensitivity justifies it. Record responsibility for discrepancies so stock is not consumed while identity remains unresolved. Technical approval and contract wording have different purposes; obtain appropriate commercial advice for binding terms. A well-written RFQ makes questions visible without asserting unverified factory capacity, certificates, lead times or guaranteed treatment results.

Purchase review worksheet

Complete the evidence column with measured values, observations or an agreed document reference. An unanswered item is a reason to clarify the sample or quotation, not to assume that two products are equivalent. Keep the same worksheet with the trial record so the purchasing and operating teams approve the same conditions.

Request a focused PAM flocculant quotation

Send the feed source, solids concentration, pH or conductivity, operating temperature and separator type alongside the monthly quantity, package preference and destination. Include the specific observations in the worksheet above. If a current grade is being replaced, provide its available technical data and the active dose rather than only the trade name. Commercial availability, sample quantities and delivered terms should be confirmed for the selected product, not inferred from an illustrative application.

Arrange the comparison through the PAM trial planner and review quality documents and supply requirements before committing to a shipment. Gongyi Xinqi Polymer Co., Ltd. can review the application information and discuss a suitable sample range. Application suitability remains conditional on representative testing; a polymer recommendation is not a guarantee of plant performance or regulatory compliance.
